After almost 20 hours of traveling, I have finally arrived in Athens, Greece! I am so excited to be here and to begin my travels. Today I have decided to go ahead and get to know the city a little bit better and scope out the sights I want to see by taking a guided bus tour of the city. There is a company I found called Hop in Sightseeing that does a 90 minute bus tour of the city, so its not too long, and they pass by all of the city’s best museums and monuments.
On the tour I will be passing by and getting a general description of the Acropolis, Thissio, Plaka, Varvakeios (Central ) Market, Benaki Museum, the National Archeological Museum, and a few more locations. The bus tour wraps up in Syntagma Square. I am excited about the bus tour, since it will definitely help me decide what I am going to do tomorrow.
