Sample Trip Post: My Trip to Greece

(Note: This is a fictional sample post demonstrating how users of our themes might create Trip Posts.)

I left on my trip for Greece from my hometown of Santa Barbara, California.   I love living in Santa Barbara is because it has so much to offer. It is a great coastal town with an interesting blend of people that range from university students looking for fun weekend hangouts to colorful retirees just looking to enjoy themselves.

This little town not only has a great variety of people living there, but its harbor is home to the world famous Stearns Wharf; which is a great place to take the whole family.  There are also the zoological gardens which are one of my personal favorites and a great place to take a day trip too. Santa Barbara also has a diverse landscape with the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley that offers great views.   The Solvang and Chumash Reservations are also nearby and make great visiting spots.  If you are looking for a great place to take your significant other then you can’t beat the romantic beaches and endless hiking areas and Santa Barbara has to offer.  This place has practically everything that you could want in a good vacation spot, including a great night life.

If you ever decide to visit my hometown I hope that you take advantage of its great spots! Here is a map of the city below…

How did you prevent the “Sample Trip” here from appearing on the main page, and just under the “sample trip” menu?

      Brad,
In order to do this, you will need to create a category under Posts > Categories in your dashboard, and then install a plugin called “Simply Exclude”, this plugin will allow you to prevent posts that you create under the category you created from displaying on the homepage when you set it up. Hope this helps, please feel free to contact us again if you have anymore questions. Thanks!
